Business morality or ethics must permeate the entire operation from top to bottom and be embraced by all stakeholders. The purpose of this course is to equip students with foundational knowledge and skills in the area of corporate governance.
Students will explore how the values, beliefs and ethos that a company subscribes to should be reflected in the practices of the organisation, and how decision-making models drive appropriate objectives. In addition, students will explore the various facets of governance and how these relate to corporate governance; the need for good corporate governance, and its application through various codes and acts; corporate governance in relation to risk management; and the requisite leadership to drive good governance.
